Good night, And Good Luck

一定要給 George Clooney 一個熱烈的掌聲，不管電影評價為何，他的勇氣及堅持信念的態度實在令人欣賞。

這是一個烏托邦的故事，雖然是史實，但卻神奇的讓人有種好像在作夢的感覺一樣。

David Strathairn 很棒的演員，尤其是當他飾演的 Edward R. Murrow 在電視中滔滔不絕正義凜然的那段談話，讓人有熱血沸騰的感覺。

Edward R. Murrow: No one familiar with the history of his country, can deny that congressional committees are useful. It is necessary to investigate before legislating. But the line between investigating and persecuting is a very fine one, and the Junior Senator from Wisconsin has stepped over it repeatedly. His primary achievement has been confusing the public mind as between the internal and the external threats of communism. We must not confuse dissent from disloyalty. We must remember always, that accusation is not proof, and that conviction depends upon evidence and due process of law. We will not walk in fear, one of another, we will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason. If we dig deep into our history and our doctrine, we will remember we are not descendant from fearful men. Not from men who dared to write, to speak, to associate, and to defend causes that were for the moment unpopular. This is no time for men who oppose Sen. McCarthy's methods to keep silent or for those who approve. We can deny our heritage and our history but we cannot escape responsibility for the result. There is no way for a citizen of the republic to abdicate his responsibilities. As a nation we have come into our full inheritance at a tender age. We proclaim ourselves as indeed we are, the defenders of freedom where ever it still exists in the world. But we cannot defend freedom abroad by deserting it at home. The actions of the Junior Senator from Wisconsin have caused alarm and dismay amongst our allies abroad and given considerable comfort to our enemies. And who's fault is that? Not really his, he didn't create this situation of fear he merely exploited it, and rather successfully. Cassus was right, the fault dear Brutus is not in our stars, but in ourselves. Good night, and good luck.

喬治克隆尼，將一段已經過往，也不再引起現在人注意的史實，用他的勇氣告訴觀眾，這是一個很大的挑戰，因為現在的人已經沒有興趣再去研究歷史，不是因為沒有價值，只是因為沒有娛樂，緬懷過去不如展望未來，所以我不訝異我的朋友在90分鐘的電影睡了60分鐘。

不過不由得給予喬治克隆尼的電影理想高度的肯定，如果未來可以有更多這樣的藝術工作者，我想，我們的視野將更寬廣。

總評：8分。
