I havent read the novel, but i have to say, this is a good movie. At first i thought it would be a bit boring and slow, but in the end, its not.

The End of the story are different from novel and movie, its hard to say which one is better, cuz either way, someone gets what they need, either Anna, or Kate.

Sara can not accept the fact that her daughter is sick, and dying everyday, its really hard to judge her reaction, even with the behavior of her to Anna, yes, she is selfish, might even be immoral, but with a mothers love, she is trying to do her best.

Anna is the best one, the perfect one in this story, she is generous, kind, and lovely, she is willing to do whatever for her sister, this is a perfect model, i have to confess, i wonder if this model would exist, not to mention on a 12-yrs-old girl.

Brian is a good husband, and a good father, but compared to Sara, he is behind the scene, eventually he learned to speak his mind, which is not easy, but thats the better way to keep his marriage going on, by telling the truth and sharing thoughts.

Kate, is really the lucky one in all of them, she might be sick and in pain, but she got the most amount of love and caring from everyone, she had lived, loved, and died, thru her whole life, she lived every moment of it, in a way, her death might be a bless for her after all.

This is a touching story, and this movie is doing a good job, if you want to be touched in heart, go ahead.
